How to Your Control Anger and Frustration in Relationship

1. Practice patience and compassion

Always stay mindful and patient of the kind of language that you use with your partner. You don’t want to be saying anything that might only worsen the situation. Try to use neutral words so as not to trigger your partner any further. By practicing Patience you tend to control anger and frustration in your relationship

2. Think Influence, Not control

Don’t focus on trying to change your partner. You can’t. You can, however, influence your partner and show them the benefits of your position. You can influence your partner by creating a positive environment that is conducive to cooperation rather than control.

3. Stick with constructive communication habits.

Always stick to constructive words and phrases. Never make your partner feel like you are attacking them or else you will end up agitating them even further. Try your best to always stay sensitive and calm in this kind of situation.

4. Walk away when things get too heated.

Try to only talk when both of you are calm. You should know that high levels of emotion can often compromise a person’s logic and better judgment. That can make for a very nonconstructive conversation and it might end up making things worse instead.

5. Don’t try to be too controlling of your partner.

Sometimes, you just have to let a person feel angry before they can be okay again. You can’t always control how another person is going to feel. And so, let go of the need to always manipulate the situation that you are in.

6. Avoid triggers of anger.

Be mindful of the way that you are conducting yourself. Everything that you say and do can be a potential emotional trigger for your partner. And that’s why you also want to be policing yourself in this regard. By avoiding this you tend to control anger and frustration in your relationship
