Mama Drama And Soft Work Pushed Back: The Nigerian Film Industry is among the worst hit during this pandemic period. They have been experiencing low income and box office revenue.
In the past days following reports of fresh cases across Nigeria, cinemas in Lagos have shut down operations while film productions have halted in compliance with the Ministry of Health’s advised preventive measures.
This week has however experienced a new dimension as filmmakers have begun to announce the push back of release dates and indefinite postponement.
Although this news isn’t one of joy or any related giddy emotion, but it has to be adhered to strictly. This development has created a breach between actors and their major means of creating revenue which is the box office.
According to Filmone distribution Company, these movies have been postponed indefinitely and new dates would be announced as soon as the air clears.
“Soft Work” is centered on a heist targeted at Chief Ademuyiwa, an accomplished businessman with over eighteen companies, whose success is attributed to a code.
One of his business rivals wants the code, so he orchestrates a plan involving a group of unwilling con-men to steal it at a coronation ceremony of the chief.
The movie stars Frank Donga, Akin Lewis, Shaffy Bello, Sanni Mu’azu, IK Ogbonna, Mofe Duncan, and Alexx Ekubo, who plays the lead Dare Olusegun.
