Jordan Diakiese –  a former PSG academy star – has tragically died at the age of just 24. The cause of the death is not yet known but was confirmed by his current club AS Furiani Agliani.

The shocking news came from them who currently play in the amateur leagues in France.

In their statement they called Diakiese an “endearing boy” who was “always smiling” after joining the club last July.

Their statement added that everyone at the club had been ‘affected badly’ by the tragedy, and that ‘all their thoughts go out to his family’.

Tributes have since poured in for the youngster with the cause of his death not known at this time.

PSG paid tribute to their former academy product on social media after the news broke.

They wrote: “Your second family will always think of you. Rest in peace Jordan.”



Diakiese passed away on Thursday afternoon in Paris.

He came through the academy at the French champions and made several appearances in the UEFA Youth League during the 2013/14 season.

He never made a senior appearance for PSG and also represented France at youth level.

The defender joined Chaux-de-Fonds on a free before taking in spells with NK Rudes and latterly AS Furiani.

The full statement from A.S. Furiani Agliani read: “Our club is in mourning today. It’s with deep and immense sadness that we’ve learnt of the death of our player Jordan D, 24, yesterday afternoon in Paris.

“After arriving last July, this amazing kid was a winner both on the pitch and beyond. Always smiling, discreet, hard-working, he settled in very quickly.

“The whole Furianinca family is reeling from the news. The staff, Jordan’s team mates, as well as all the directors and volunteers have been hit hard.

“Our thoughts are, first and foremost with his family, friends and loved-ones. Rest in peace, Jordan. You’ll always be a Furianincu lion.”
