I’m Pained, But I‘ll Remain In APC – Ogiemwonyi

Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi, one of the eleven governorship aspirants that contested the APC primaries in Edo State, has said that he will not leave the party despite his dissatisfaction with the emergence of Godwin Obaseki as the party’s candidate.
Ogiemwonyi, who spoke with journalists in Benin yesterday shortly after addressing his supporters at his campaign office in Benin said that as a man who believes in the unity of the party, he has told his supporters that they should not leave the party because it was a house they jointly built.
He also pledged to join the Godwin Obaseki Campaign team after his holidays.

He said, “My vision for Edo State is that we should take advantage to be in alignment with the party with the government at the centre, we should, therefore, remain to have the benefit of the party at the centre and the party at the state level.”
On the reconciliation move by the party to reconcile all aggrieved aspirants and their supporters, he said, “Only God can comfort you when you are hurt and angry. I don’t look at physical reconciliation; I look at it spiritually. What touches my heart is what God has put there. God has spoken to me and said, my son, move on; you lost money, you lost your integrity but all these losses, you will in one day regained them.”
